Here Comes the Muscle

"There is strength in numbers, but sometimes there is simply strength.

In Here Comes the Muscle, a school of powerful tuna moves through the deep water with a presence that is difficult to ignore. Their speed, strength and streamlined bodies make them extraordinary athletes of the ocean.

I wanted the largest fish to feel as though it is coming directly into our space, with the others emerging from the darkness behind it. There is no confrontation and no chase—just power moving through the water.

Here Comes the Muscle is my slightly playful acknowledgment that beneath the surface, some creatures simply arrive with authority."
